Yours truly and our VP attended the 2025 Summit with the Honor Flight National. We really enjoyed the summit.
We started EARLY Friday morning ( note to self DO NOT DRIVE the same day of the conference) go a day early if possible.
The Breakout sessions for the summit were quite good but by the end of the day 4pm or so we were dragging pretty hard so we opted out of the last session.
The 1st session on Saturday was decent about leadership , the second one went off track and resulted in us being told that we needed to be aware of a persons race/gender.
The implication was insulting as our mission doesn’t look at anyones race or gender…if you served 1939-1975 we want to honor you.
The afternoon sessions were AWESOME, the VVMF ( Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund) speaker was dynamic and very memorable.
The Grant workshop I thought was quite useful.
The end of the evening culminated in a Great dinner and some fun afterwards..we were exhausted day 2 for sure..
We did go to Earl Morse’s prayer the next morning and both the VP and I were not nobly uplifted but inspired by his words and the others that were in attendence
